Worth waiting for!!! Enjoyed the homecoming and all the little surprises. This time, though, it really does feel like "Finis." All's right in their world. They've come a long way on their journey and it satisfies the reader. Congratulations on this.

WOW!!! I've loved your entire Harry & the Pirate series; but this is a GREAT finally. I was wondering if you would mind me saving all of your Harry & the Pirate series to my PDA. I'd love to take them to the beach and read them by the lake. It's not the sea, but we do have sea gulls and boats so it will do in a pinch. Would that be alright by you? For these are keeper stories and I'll want to read them again and again. Oh! And did Harry get the girl she wanted?

I'm so glad you've enjoyed the series, and liked the ending here. What a wonderful compliment, that you want to save the stories on your PDA! You are certainly welcome to do so. Vacationing by the lake sounds delicious--have a good time.

As for Harry getting the girl she wanted, I think she just might have, although I've left that to readers' imaginations, for now. You never know, though, I might eventually write a short story or two in this universe. ;)

Well, I have to say I would *love* to have a story with Tom as a grown man, whatever he's doing. I generally regard characters I like having children as being sort of two-dimensional offspring, but I really do like Tom and see him as a character in himself who could stand apart from his family, in his own adventures. So hopefully this will not truly be "finis" for you.

Originally Tom wasn't supposed to have that big a part, but he sort of took on a life of his own, and I think the story was more interesting because of that. I'm so glad you thought he was a good OC. And it's certainly possible he could show up again in a story or two.
