Yes, there is a 13th Day of Christmas, whether there's a verse for it in that song or not. And while you are checking out today's tasty treats, I strongly encourage you all to suffer all that is MySpace so you can listen to Meet Me Under the Mistletoe by Harry and the Potters. Nothing like a little Harry Potter themed Christmas music to set the tone:)

Mad props to hp_muffins for letting us feature these daily images!

And what would your day be without lysa1's Pimp Cane Icons!

We've also got today's Advent Muffin in icon format.

Draco has very kindly offered to let us post the recipe he used on Day Three. He calls them "Ginger Harrys".

Ginger Harrys
You'll need:
100g (4oz) butter
3 tbsp golden syrup
350g self-raising flour
1-2 tsp ground ginger
100g caster sugar
1 egg, beaten
yellow icing
red icing
black icing (the kind you can write with works best!)
a gingerbread man shaped cookie cutter

To Make:
1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F

2. Melt the butter and syrup together in a saucepan over a gentle heat.

3. Place flour, ginger and sugar in a mixing bowl. Add the melted butter and syrup, stir in slightly and then add the egg.

4. Knead until smooth and then leave for 15 minutes to cool.

5. Roll out to a thickness of 6mm and cut out your Ginger Harrys. (Draco kindly requests that you do not accidentally cut out any real Harry's during the baking process. Ginger Harrys only, folks.)

6. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet and cook in the centre of the oven for about 8 minutes, or until golden. Remove and leave to cool.

7. DECORATE! Use your red and yellow, er, Gold and Maroon icing to give your Ginger Harrys striped jumpers.

8. Use the black icing to pipe on the eyes (or a pair of spectacles if you think you're up to it).

9. Give to the Harry in your life.

10. If you're nice, maybe he'll share!

(Okay Draco didn't really give me this recipe. Little punk didn't return my owls. It's actually an adaptation of a recipe posted at iVillage.co.uk so props to them!)
