oh fucking hell! i've been in the same situation you're in, this summer, when flying on a friday to get to a saturday morning wedding in raleigh/durham. flight was cancelled, so we flew to washington, dc instead. spent the night at a friend's house, who got up ungodly early the next morning to take us to the airport to catch a flight to raleigh. we had to fly standby to raleigh, because though they promised us we had seats, they lied! i had to go up to strangers and beg them to take a later flight so i could make the wedding (i was already in my suit). we ended up making the wedding with 15 minutes to spare.

so...best of luck to you. if for some reason you end up bailing completely, you're welcome to come to thanksgiving dinner at my apartment.

Airline companies really need to hire more people to prepare for the holidays. I've seen this happen before :(

Email me at info at myairfaresecrets dot com if you wish to talk. I'd love meeting new people.
