A dodgeball eulogy

Jan 15, 2009 18:13

A dodgeball eulogy from my friend Caroline. It's kind of NYC biased (she lives here!), so it's maybe not perfect, but it still made me tear up a little (and I don't do that sort of thing!).

eulogy, dodgeball

i think i'd stopped checking in ages ago, but this news makes me sad. i enjoy seeing what adventure you're having on any given night. and i mean that in a non-creepy non-keeping-tabs-on-you kind of way.

I like how dodgeball helps people form floor circle parties.

I think I realized this thirty seconds after clicking "post" when I saw that the drinks weren't spilling yet I could see the bottom of the cups. oh, gravity.

I honestly have no idea when exactly we first met, but it was definitely through you, Chris, or Sean somehow. For some bizarre reason I kind of feel like we met at Welcome to the Johnson's.

Hah! Yes, I think it was! It looks like the night might actually have started at Essex with Lobster night.

I miss those days sometimes!

You know, I'll always have soft spot in my heart for Dodgeball, 'cause if it weren't for Dodgeball (and you!), I wouldn't have met Marci that one night.
