I'm so sorry to post this here, but I'm desperate for some answers. Under the cut are some MAJOR spoilers for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. An LJ user (cantstoptharock) put 10 of these spoilers on the community harrypotterkids, of which I am a member, completely UN-CUT. Boring. I am so beyond caring about spoilers, true or not. So H/G might happen. And? I'm not going to cry and use WAY TOO MANY explanation points just because, boo hoo, two fictional characters didn't get together. Yes, I think H/G sucks. Yes, I think Harry and Hermione are better suited. But the point is, Hermione is not going anywhere. Ginny's not going to take her place. ARE YOU MAD? Ginny's the token love interest and nothing more, if these spoilers are true. The only thing she can do to help Harry is give him a kiss and tell him he's pretty. Hermione has always been, and always WILL BE more important than that. This should not and will not change the way Harry and Hermione interact.

I don't know if you've finished the book yet, but it really seems like JKR made Hermione and Ginny do a personality swap. It almost seems like JKR's intention IS for Ginny to take what we knew to be Hermione's 'place', beside Harry, working together.

I honestly have no idea about where she is going with her out of character Trio from here on out. All I have to say is WTF.

Book 7 now? He's a goner.

I agree. I just think that Dumbledore biting it would work best in the last book, if at all.

I'm sorry, but i don't understand the big deal. I have heard some of the same spoilers over and over again, so it makes me think they have some credability, but the most repeated is that Ron and Hermione do NOT get together, but Harry and Ginny do. So what? Harry and Cho were together in the last book.

I wasn't expecting Harry and Hermione to REALLY get together till like, the middle/end of book 7. Its only book 6 guys. Have ship faith. If Ron and Hermione is sunk, and Harry and Ginny break-up, and there are plenty of H/HRer moments like in Ootp- that works for me.

I know I should have faith, (and I love Harry/Hermione so much, I really do!), but my faith has been slipping away for a long time.

I really wish HMS Harmony does sail, but it's not looking too hopeful right now.
