Well, male lions also kill the current cubs of the lioness they wish to mate with- so- they’re all bastards by our standards anyway... what’s being a laze when it comes to the hunt going to contribute to their points? I’m sure it makes perfect sense in -their- world :P

If this 'disagreement' has taught you anything it's keep Hermione away from small children. And besides it's not really sexist, it's just a representation of the views of Godric Gryffindor. He was a man and of course he is going to pick a strong, male animal for a mascot. Why does it matter so much anyway, it's not as if there's an actual living lion around the Gryffindor Common saying, "Hey, you, with the breasts, bring me a steak and some butterbeer. And turn up the quidditch game, woman!"

You know, I really think I agree with Hermione. I don't think it's sexism, really, but when it comes to lionesses..well, they really do do all the work. ::shrug::
