New York Trip; Equus; I Met Daniel Radcliffe xD

New York was an amazing trip, and I'm so glad we got to go ^_^
We only got back on Tuesday night so I finally have the time to update with all the goods (and pictures, ooh) ;)

It's a bit long, and since there's picture, here's

On Thursday afternoon, we flew in to New Jersey, which was pretty cool, and the next morning I looked out of our window and saw that there was a men's prison right beside the hotel LOL. And the funny thing is that they were standing around outside so I could see them xD. We took a shuttle van to the city and got to the Double Tree Guest Suites hotel right in Times Square, and since we couldn't check in right away, we left our luggage with them and went to explore. We went to the giant M&M's and Hershey stores for a few hours and we walked around a bit. I have a bag of M&M's that are all sorts of cool colours, like silver, black, electric green, bright pink, and maroon. Yummm *drools*. We were finally able to check in, and of course the people there were very nice, and upon our checking in we (me, my mom, oldest sister and stepdad) each got a warm chocolate chip cookie. HOW WICKED IS THAT. My stepdad didn't want his so me and my sister shared it :P Later that day, after we hunted down our luggage, the moment I had been slightly anticipating (yes, the surrealness was already kicking in - FTWNEWYORKCITY) came: we walked around and went to the Broadhurst Theatre, which was a big deal for me even though my sister and I weren't seeing the show until Sunday afternoon. So that night after dinner, my sister fell asleep and did not fulfill her promise of taking me to the stage door, so my mom took me and insisted that "no one would be there" because she's a loser and thinks no one in NYC likes Daniel Radcliffe. So we ended up going at 10:30 even though I strictly said it would be packed, and yes, IT WAS! People were on the other side of the flipping street and a bunch of security and policemen were there, it was crazy, and I proved my mom wrong on the spot. We went to the side of the barricade where non-ticketholders were supposed to be, and we kinda made our way through the crowd, but could barely see anything when Richard and Dan came out. These pictures were the only ones I could get that night:

YAY RICHARD
DAN JAJAJA

his hat ^_^
his hat again!

By then I was a bit upset because I could only see them through my camera, and of course it was going to be packed. I was a bit downed then, but I was assured we'd try again on Saturday night.

We did some other stuff, like go to Central Park, walk on 5th Avenue, and shop etc etc, but Saturday night is what really made the trip so memorable (well other than actually seeing the play that next day). I dragged my sister to the stage door at about 9:30 while it was still on, and people were already standing around and waiting before the barricades were even put up. When they did put them up, though, GUESS WHO WAS RIGHT AT THE FUCKING FRONT?!! xD I could have died.
So we're waiting and waiting, and we talked with some other lovely fans that were nothing short of hilarious. It was very nice to have met them ^_^ I was waiting anxiously to see Dan, knowing that Richard was gonna come out first, but AH! he didn't. Dan dashed out of the stage door, very much unlike the night before when like 10 security guards had to poke their heads out first. He was at the other side of the barricade and I was taking pictures of him from behind (I'm not complaining). And then, OMG, he came to my side. I almost had a heart attack, or something like that. I was so nervous and my heart felt like it was gonna fall out of my ass! He went to the weird little alley where the barricade on my side ended, rushed around and stopped, YES, right in front of me. While he was signing my poster I said "I love you," and he looked at me and did his signature nervous giggle. IT WAS AMAZING. He signed a few more things and went into his gorgeous black Escalade O.O and his parents walked out afterwards too, which I can't recall happening on the Friday night, so it was cool seeing them as well.
And to sum up Saturday, I couldn't sleep that night. It was too surreal and amazing and just, UHH OMG :D So I took some pictures, and my sister did too. Here, yay!:

my signed poster, WEEEE!

Sunday finally came, and I think I was more nervous for the actors in the play than they were for themselves! I bought a ton of merchandise to go with my poster since I got $250 American for my birthday last month, so I bought the baseball hat (lol), the key chain, the magnet, the t-shirt (of course), the hoodie, and funnily enough, THE MUG. LOLOLOLOLOL.
The play was freaking amazing. Dan did amazing. Richard did amazing. Anna Camp did amazing. Everyone did a fucking amazing job!!! I'm not exaggerating this; there's a reason this play has been praised so much. Daniel was phenomenal. It makes me proud to have been such a supportive fan the past zillion years and to see him evolve so strongly and gracefully. The play itself was presented very well and was much more lighthearted at parts than in the actual play. It was thoroughly enjoyable and I loved every second of it. But I won't spoil it for you. If you can, GO AND SEE IT! Dan certainly caught the rawness of Alan Strang and he was everything words can't say. He takes his career seriously, and it's evident.

I still can't believe I made him giggle like that. BWAHAHA.

Oh and P.S. The rest of New York was fun, my mom saw Spamalot with my stepdad and she met Clay Aiken LOL. We did some other stuff, and we met the Naked Cowboy! xD

P.P.S. katebert, I tried to find you, I know. I will cry now ;_;
