Has anybody seen Ron, Hermione or Neville around? I really need to talk to them.

So, yeah...Yule Ball, huh? Coming up right quick. Everybody excited? Time to dust off the old dress robes and all. Yeah, should be fun. Yup, fun, loads. I can't wait myself.

Alright, we'll stop at Madame Malkine's. Maybe I'll get something for the Ball as well. Although I doubt I can afford new dress robes so soon and have no idea if I even have a date. That's ok, I figured. Except that lunch wasn't nearly over, and you had time to get it.

Yeah, I don't think I could handle another detention with Snape. Plus, Merlin knows, he'd restrict me from The Yule Ball.

You need something for the Ball as well then? Of course you do. You've probably had a date for ages now. Neville, right? I hate my life right now.

Yeah me neither, like I told you at dinner, he's been giving them out mercilessly in Potions lately. Yeah, he'd probably do that, and we wouldn't want to miss the Yule Ball would we?

Yeah I guess I need something, I'm not sure whether my robes from last still fit. Balls are always fun. I remember last year I went with Pucey, Ron absolutely freaked. I'll see you there then I guess, who are you going with? You've got to have a date, with all the girls fawning over the boy-who-lived, not like dorky little me.

Date? I don't have a date. I barely remembered about the Ball until Jack reminded me the other day at supper. I imagine you must be going wi- Merlin, I need a backbone! I imagine you must be going with Neville, right? I haven't seen him around much, how is he?

Sarcasm? Why Tonks, I have no idea whay you are talking about! This sort of thing is exactly what I've been looking forward to all year long. Having to find a date, getting all dressed up, hoping I don't trip over my own feet. Yes, sounds like the perfect evening.
