Something has just occured to me.

When I asked at the de-brief if Jarane's death was a 'planned assasination' - I meant just that. Not for one moment did I feel the death itself was planned by the writers, I simply thought someone clever might have pushed the right buttons at the right tme to get Jarane to die.

My money was on Penan.

The importance of motivation for action rather than inaction

I had that explicitly written on my character sheet, although I think it was the Black Goat-headed doodah with a Thousand Young talking to me at the time.

You're good at hitting the nail on the head. "The importance of stories, of endings."

Until you said it I couldn't place what it was that defines the best LRP experiences for me and that's it - stories with endings. Until this weekend Omega LRP was on it's own as the most outstanding of experiences for me. That too had the feel of a story and it was concluded after a not insignificant period of time. Fortunately for my character this time it was a happy ending!

well said harry,

and for the record Jarane was the only Queisitor I would have got off my ass for. I absolutely would not have killed him deliberately in this or any way. I do however wish I had thought of it as a concept.

for me Harry you are some of my many high points and not just "I made poo" but out and out laughing with genuine joy and me telling you I had emptied the bourse.

happy days, sad but satisfactory endings

Thank you. harrytc May 16 2006, 23:24:46 UTC
Penan was my second favourite Verditius.

He'd have made an excellent Primus, but I needed the leverage to push Cadamon.
