as you all know i was planning to double major in neuroscience and biochem. and today i went to the advisor guy to add on that neuroscience major. apparently you are not allowed to do two majors if there's "significant overlap" in the courses that you have to take. in this case the overlap exists in three courses: Bio 100,101,220. just cause

That is a steaming pile of horseshit. I'm positive that is unique to UIC, though I'd think they wouldn't have a problem making an acception. Good luck.

That has got to be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. If you want to take more classes in order to fulfill another major, shouldn't they be happy because you'd be giving the university more money. And isn't that what it's all about these days?
