I’d have to agree with your org mates, Hart. Your friend’s studies and grades are not an excuse in skipping org activities. It is a matter of knowing how to balance your studies with these co-curricular activities. I have been having difficulties in balancing both too. I guess I got too overwhelmed at what these organizations could give me. I joined three orgs this year: ACTM, COSA, and ACGC. I am only active in ACGC and it makes me guilty because I should also be contributing to the other orgs I joined. My grades are just mediocre and I can’t blame these orgs. I guess I’d have to blame myself because I didn’t think before I acted. I joined these orgs all at once and I’m not productive in all of them. However, I promise to participate in at least two projects in each org this year. Priority is the key. Just make sure that your co-curricular activities do not take up most of your time. Studies first. Through time management, I am sure you will be able to enjoy participating in those orgs and at the same time, maintain those high grades ( ... )

Thanks, Geli. You're right in saying that I should prioritize and manage my time well. But seems even as I fix my schedule and open myself up for org projects and the like, I keep missing them, either I didn't sign up, no one told me, or I just didn't know what was going on. And I just joined 2 orgs. :l

I'm active in ACLC, but I want to open up more for my home org, MECO. Unfortunately, I'm too late to sign up since I think the committees are already working. Maybe next year? Guess I'll have to wait... :(
