Even the Saturday that I didn't get anything created, I still had a great time. I took a couple pictures as well. Shocker, I know.
Autumn (my sister-in-law) was also in ceramics in college. She is incredibly talented. However, she hadn't thrown in 4 years. I was encouraging her to throw soon, and she decided to join me on a Saturday morning. I was super excited, because although we have both loved ceramics for years, we have never had the chance to throw together! So, this was a first for us.
I also wanted to take a couple pictures of the studio and my teacher anyway, so here they are! First, Autumn on the left, Jill (my instructor) on the right, and the wheel next to Jill's is the one I always use. It's kinda weird, but sometimes you just get used to a certain wheel and stay on it, if it's open.
Here's a really bad picture of Jill, but I couldn't get a good one because she kept laughing. Also, she is making bowls for her new dog that I (sorta) helped her adopt. (Mostly just advise from our experience.)
Here's a picture of one of her bowls for her new dog!
Also, a better one of Autumn throwing:
Because Autumn is crazy, she threw a chalice ON HER FIRST DAY BACK. I can't even express to you how crazy this is... So talented. She created it in 2 pieces and put it together at the end of class.
As you can see, she also threw a great bowl. Cray.
Tonight, we are potentially going to open studio to finish off her pieces and for me to work on other things. We shall see! I hope so. =) I could use the stress relief.
