Unfunfunf @ photo. But um, yeah, flawless post, all I can really add is that GAWD seriously I hate how I've already seen some people creaming their shorts over Obama's support for the DOMA repeal. Well fucking duh DOMA should get repealed, but repealing it only means that the federal gubmint can choose to recognize gay marriages performed in states that already have it legalized. That's nice for notgarystu and I, but not so nice for any queer (or part-trans) couples living in like >40 other states. If DOMA gets repealed I'll be very happy but I'm already wondering how long it will take all 50 states to create marriage equality vs. how long it will take the federal government to mandate it. (Seriously, both seem really unlikely.) And of course on _p when I point that out, someone's like "wellthisisstillimportant!" and I'm like "um yeah, I literally just said that." Calm down, my god.

Awesome post. I've learned to look at mainstream news more critically, even some that I like *glances at BBC World News America and Rachel Maddow* Democracy Now is pretty great with its protest focus, though I can't help but notice many of the reporters and guests are pretty white.
