Because he swore a lot, people were and are ignorant of his heinousness, and...personal tastes in appearance? IDK, he wouldn't have done anything for me even if he was not a horrible human being.

I mean I get that it's easier to articulate rage over simplistic, human interest stories than it is over chilling, systematic gubmint abuses but goddamn.
