Something I've never seen in real life before

Today, everyone, I got to watch a mouse give birth. I just happened to come downstairs right as this pregnant female started squeezing out her first pup. P.S. Humans don't (usually) eat their placenta (although some people...). that helps in not making gross.

eating placenta....now there's one of those things i'd like to say i've done, but don't actually want to go through the process of doing.

in german, the word for placenta is "mutterkuchen" which directly translates to "mother cake". in case you were curious.
