*headdesks* Do I want to know what kind of idiot did that experiment in a school? Or was it just some suicidal/homicidal student with no working knowledge of chemistry? *rolls eyes*
But last semester we saw a clip of one of those science shows throwing alkali metalls in water. We were all laughing our asses off seeing their antics and things go boom! *grins*

Do you know "Brainiac"? That´s a British science show (very funny) and aired a few years ago here. They also threw alkali-metals in water and tested theories like "Can you walk on a pool of pudding?" (yes, you can) "With what type of fire-exstinguisher can you use to drive an office chair?" Fat vs Thin: who survives the extreme conditions?
a bit like Jackass, only not stupid and educational

*thinks of that memorable chemistry lesson featuring Kalium and water...there´s still a black spot on the ceiling caused by that experiment*
