it's been over a year now, and my mom still hasn't found a job. Every time she interviews she's the "top Contender" but they give the job to someone else for a multitude of reasons. I just try to keep her happy and laughing cause I know if I don't she'll fall into a deeper depression than the one she's already in

Sounds like your mum can use a prayer. You would be surprised at the miracles that are worked when you put all your faith to God. I know she will be in my prayers. (And my prayers always work)
