It's struck me that this community hasn't been very busy lately. Since there are so many members I thought maybe something that brought about group effort could liven it up a little. I've seen anonymous fanfic/fanart memes do amazing things elsewhere, so what better way to get both long-time fans and those new to the series involved than to be

A knock on his door caused Oshihito to pause as he crossed his quarters. "Who's there?" he called brusquely, one hand on a sword hilt and the other on the knob. No answer came except another few taps. Eyes narrowed, Oshihito pulled the door open abruptly, one sword already drawn while he moved to pull the other as well, then stilled when Tooya shrank back from him with a look of panic. "Oh. It's you." Oshihito let go of the second sword and resheathed the other. "What do you want?" Only after he asked did Oshihito notice the piece of wood the tsuchigumo carried in one hand and the pot of ink with a brush balanced precariously on the other palm ( ... )

The constant stare set Oshihito on edge, but he knew that confronting Tooya about it would only lengthen the amount of time he wasted. With care, since he did not want to ruin the wood by spattering it with ink, Oshihito dipped the brush into the pot. After he dabbed off the excess liquid he slowly stroked lines of deep black over the wood. His name stared back at him boldly after he finished, and the sight of it next to Chihiro's name caused a strange tightness in his chest. Oshihito set the brush aside hastily and turned away. "That's good enough, isn't it?"
Tooya smiled at him even though Oshihito could not see it. *Miko will be happy...* He took the ink and brush then slipped out of the room.
Oshihito waited until the tsuchigumo was out of sight before he turned ( ... )
