It’s been a while since Chinen Yuri started dating Morimoto Ryutaro. Their relationship goes well, but there’s one thing that makes Chinen confused. One question that has bugging his mind all this time. Why? Why does Ryutaro never let him say sweet things? Like a simple “I love you”.
A short sentence that describes Chinen’s feeling towards his beloved one, but he never got the chance to say. Whenever Chinen wants to say it, there’s always something that Ryutaro do to cut his sentence.
Like when they’re about to eat lunch in Chinen’s house..
“Chii, are the foods ready yet? I’m hungry!” Ryutaro half-shouting from the dining room. He is playing his Nintendo DS.
“Almost done! Ughhh, be patient, will you?”
“Do you have any problem serving the food?”
“No! Uhm.. probably, yes.. Ehhh, no! No, I’m okay here!”
Ryutaro walks quietly into the kitchen, hugged Chinen from behind and placed his chin on the older boy’s shoulder.
“Whoa, hey! It’s dangerous, you know! What if I spill this hot food to my hand?!” Chinen almost jump and looks annoyed with what his boyfriend did.
Ryutaro just laugh seeing Chinen’s reaction. He looks cute when he’s mad.
“Just tell me if you need my help, Chii.”
“I don’t want to bother you. You were busy playing your DS.”
“Ah, forget about DS. I would do anything for you if you need me.” He smiled softly.
Chinen was so happy to hear that, “Thanks, sweety. I lov-“ Before he could finish the sentence, Ryutaro squeezed his cheeks and laughing while running to the dining room.
“Hey, what was that for?!” He caresses his cheeks and sigh. Why doesn’t he want to hear me saying that?

Ryutaro did it again when they were out on a date in a park. But Chinen had enough, he wants to know why. So this time, he’s going to ask his boyfriend the reason why..
The sky was clear that morning, the weather was cool, we can still hear the birds sing, and we can see a cute couple walking together happily, hand in hand.
“Waaa! Ryuu-chan, I want that cotton candy! Buy it for me please?” Chinen said with a cute face.
Ryutaro couldn’t resist Chinen’s cute excitement face. It’s just irresistible! “Okay, I’ll buy one for you.”
Ryutaro went to the cotton candy seller and back to Chinen with a large amount of cotton candy in his hand. Chinen bounced happily when Ryutaro pass him the cotton candy.
“Yay! Thank you, Ryuu-chan!”
“You’re welcome, Chii.” He smirks while looking at his boyfriend eating the candy, because the candy itself looks as big as Chinen’s head.
Chinen then realized that Ryutaro was looking at him, “Eh? What are you looking at?”
“Pfff! I’m just enjoying the sight of a little boy eating a cotton candy which is as big as his head! Hahahaha!”
“What?! Ryuuuuu!!” He is chasing Ryutaro who is now running away from him.
Tired of running, Ryutaro decided to stop and sit on a park bench under a tree. Chinen finally come, he’s panting. He took a seat beside Ryutaro.
“Gosh, Ryuu, why do you have to be so annoying.. Don’t you love your dear boyfriend?” Chinen pouted.
“Of course I love you, my squirrel.” He smiled and ruffled the older boy’s hair.
“I love you too, my hams-“ Suddenly, Ryutaro grabbed Chinen’s hand and stand up.
“Come on, Chii! We have to go to the train station or we’re gonna be late for the meeting with other members!”
Chinen pulled his hand from Ryutaro’s grip. He’s just standing there, staring at the younger boy who is about to leave.
“Why, Ryuu?”
“Eh? Why what?” He’s overwhelmed with confusion as he can see the tears formed in Chinen’s eyes.
“Most people say sweet things to their beloved one and I want to do that too. I want to show you that I love you. You always cut it when I tried to say such things. You don’t want me to say that, do you? Or you don’t love me anymore?”
Ryutaro fell silent for a moment. He never expected Chinen to say things like this, “N-No way! Chii, I think you just watched too much romance movies...”
Ryutaro was about to laugh when he heard that childish statement from Chinen, but he refused after he saw tears start to fall from his boyfriend’s eyes. He hates to see Chinen cry because he promised to keep him happy. Then he gently pulled the older boy into his embrace.
“Oh, Chii, I’m sorry. I never thought you’d think like that. I love you sooo much! I love every single time I spent with you. And I know you love me too. So you don’t have to say those kind of things to show your love to me, your actions did.”
The older boy now looked up to the younger’s eyes. He can’t believe what he just heard and he could feel his cheeks getting warmer, “R-Ryuu-chan..”
“What? Wasn’t it clear enough, Chii?”
“Umm... B-but, I can still say it, r-r-right?” He stuttered from happiness.
“Haha, sure!”
He tightened his hug, burying his head in the latter’s chest, “I love you, Morimoto Ryutaro.”
Ryutaro whispered, “I love you too, Chinen Yuri.”
