*happy, happy, joy, joy* I have been driving myself crazy trying to figure out what 'mercy' Hikaru gave Gokiso. It's nice to know.
Akira's care for Hikaru is certainly belying his attitude toward him at their last meeting.
Hasami is turning about to be a great friend, I'm finding him to be an enchanting OC.

What, the end, what!? So, Hikaru will finally tell Akira the tale?? Will he really??

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.... Akira had his moments with Hikaru... After so much happening before, finally it came to this short moments! And, and Hasami felt determined yet afraid of Akira, Akira felt jealous to Hasami, Hasami invoked that jealousy consciously, Akira attacked Hasami, Hikaru asked him why and blushed. Will Hikaru tell Akira Sai's story? Or will he somehow manage to weasel out of it like he always does? I don't know! Do you? XDDD

Yes, there are lots of d'awww moments in this particular chapter. Not sure why I made it that way. Perhaps I was feeling sentimental, but I did so like the image of Akira hanging anxiously over Hikaru. I'm so glad you liked this chapter. I enjoyed writing it, though the editing was a bitch. I couldn't have done this without my beta. <3

Oh you wonderful WONDERFUL author! You spoil us readers with lots of 'Awww' and 'Squeal' moments in this post! And the part where Hikaru asked Akira to stay was just *fangirl squeal* It's slowly progressing to the stated paring though! And Hasami deliberately provoking jealousy from Akira! I knew I like foxes for a reason. Crafty creatures they are. Their reactions are that of two people that hate each other to the core and can't do anything about it in the presence of Hikaru, least they suffer from the consequence. But that doesn't stop them from enjoying any discomfort and pain the other goes through *evil grin ( ... )

As I mentioned in this chapter, the Council aren't allowed to ask about Sai, but they will certainly ask Hikaru about the techniques he used to clear Gokiso's mind. Poor Hikaru. And lol Akira. I think he's going to be very, very frustrated following the next few chapters.

Oooo, a frustrated Akira. Now that will be fun to read *evil grin* Now, all I need to know is what he's frustrated about... Might be Hikaru clamming up on who Sai is. Or it might be those crafty foxes again *coughHasamicough*. And yes poor Hikaru... Being bombarded with questions from all sides *pats Hikaru*.

Hikaru seems to be completely in Ho-Oh mode so maybe he actually will tell Akira about Sai. Or Hikaru mode takes over and he weasels out of telling Akira. Mind you doesn't this seem the perfect time for someone to come and interupt? Of course if that does happen that person needs to be killed immediately and painfully ( ... )

It's a very instinctive kind of feeling that's very hard to control, much like the urge to scream and repeatedly stomp is hard to control when you see a very nasty, ugly bug. XD

Now, Hasami's no bug, and neither is Chieno, but well. It's a magical thing, lol.

an Update!! Whoo Hoo. Not sure how coherent I can be, I mean the cuteness of Akira apologizing. I love the way just the Kitsune being there irratates him. I doubt that even exhaustion will move Hikaru' stuborn refusal to talk about Sai. Although he might take some pity on Akira's need to know something, after the apology.

Jealousy~~~ Jealousy from Akira~~~ It is a lovely thing is it not?

Somehow, I doubt Hikaru would be obliging even if he was about to die, which he wouldn't, because he's Ho-Oh, lol. He's just stubborn like that. And Hasami's going to be very, very amused at Akira's expense because of this. Oh poor Akira.
