K-pop world is not fair?

Dec 16, 2010 19:32

When I first watch K-variety, I realize one thing about this K-world. They are not fair. Sure, their artists are so popular and all, but only the popular ones will get different treatment. Like they will always get the praise and everything. That's why I think I'm leaning more to J-world, where it's all fair and transparent and you could see the ( Read more... )

See, people who won Oricon chart are people who deserved to be there, because of their hardwork, not because of some crappy judging.

*shrugs* I don't believe in oricon charts or any music charts 100% though. yeah it can show rankings but it is not always a true measure of how great an artist is.

jpop awards has many biases too. look at mtv Japan awards and you'll know why. I remember zeebra (a japanese rapper) unleashed his anger with the mtv' vmaj judges because of the biased judgement. it was so controversial (well if you are updated with the J-urban scene) that he was "banned" in that event.

So i guess it is just the same for all the country's music.

I'm not a big fan of mainstream music. i appreciate them but still my love goes for all those underrated artists.

for Golden Disk Awards (GDA) - it's album sales and digital sales. also, an artist/a group can only be nominated once in the important categories such as disk bonsang/daesang, digital music bonsang/daesang, and rookie awards. and if an artist/a group is qualified in more than one important category, the higher category takes precedence. this is the reason why CN BLUE and miss A was not in the rookie category but was in the digital music category - because digital music category is higher than rookie category. this is also the reason why SNSD was not in the digital music category even though SNSD is eligible for both disk category and digital music category - because disk category is higher than digital music category. it's not that the artists/groups were ignored in a certain category despite being eligible, it's just that they qualified in a much higher category and that category took precedence ( ... )

Thanks for the explanation. But I still think that GDA should reveal the results online, how they decide the winner, by how much the artist lost the cd sales, and also about the popularity award, where the fans have to pay to vote.

I really want clarity because it's so uptight. And it won't be fair if they didn't reveal the true results, right?

HOLY DUMB FUCK, GDA IS A MTFK TARD
btw will i be getting sued for cursing them downright?

FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK GDA, ONE FUCK TO MAMA. GDA IS THE GREATEST DISAPPOINTMENT EVER, EVER.

I bet you have already read the GDA explanations and holy shit, did they hire some retard or alien-from-mars to crap out such rubbishes that are weaker than an 90 year-old granny and even a 4 year old wouldn't buy it at all. It's unconvincing, irrealistic and totally, they must be thinking fans and its supporters are idiots who chew on styrofoams everyday.

WTF.

Yesung's issue IS THE MOST INFURIATING MATTER TO ME.
1. Did they say because Yesung isn't an solo artiste that's why he is disqualified or something. DUMB FUCKS! WHY THE HELL DID THE COMMITTEE EVEN NORMINATE YESUNG AND EVEN AFTER THEY DISCOVERED THEY MADE A MISTAKE, SHOULDN'T THEY MAKE OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT TO REMOVE YESUNG FROM THE LIST? INSTEAD, THEY LET YESUNG CONTINUES TO CHAMP ON THE LIST AND MAKE US FANS, ME, TO VOTE FOR HIM AND GARNERING PEOPLE TO VOTE FOR HIM ( ... )

I've just heard about this matter about Yesung. WTF!?!?!?! They don't let him get the award because he is not even a solo artist!? GDA committee should really explain it more to us. This is stupid and infuriating. Seriously.

The K-pop world is all about bias. Honestly, I've been following Suju for quite some time but they honestly do not win much - at all, but they're so talented, it beffundles my mind. I think a lot of it has to do with the limited number of stations in Korea; if you're not promoted on one than you're no one. It's the reason Idol singers rule everything. It's rather unfortunate for the non-idol singers out there.

I didn't know that K-world could be that bias. I'm not a K-world follower so maybe that's why I don't really know how they worked. But I just hope that it didn't happen again. I was so angry and sad for Yesung because of some silly decision, he couldn't get the awards T.T

And honestly, SuJu is one of the less talented overall groups in Korea. So many unnecessary members that do jack shit. SM in general is just mediocre, SNSD especially is just crap.
UGH BLAH BLAH NONE OF IT MATTERS ANYWAY
babbling on about nothing with my bitchface on
