I am just posting up a storm on LJ on my Spring Break, seems like!  So nice to have free time....

I don't know how well this idea will go over, but I've had it in mind ever since I signed up to take the Experimental Bookmaking course I just completed.  So, I give you hand-bound teensy weensy books for BJDs!

This is really really cute! I think playing up the Asian motif is a good idea. It must have taken a ton of work--it looks neatly finished and professional.

There's a "bound books for BJD" tutorial on DoA that shows how to make books as well, and I've made a couple that way. I have a feeling if you made little books in that style they'd be popular. Although that way is a LOT of work and takes a long time, so it may not even be worthwhile to make those.

Thank you!! I didn't realize there was a tutorial for it on DoA, I'll have to look that up and compare! You're right that's it's a ton of effort, and not worth it if there isn't interest. I'm hoping they might get attention outside of the BJD crowd, too, though. Gonna see how it all goes before I make a ton of them though ^_-

The handmade books that pop up on the DoA marketplace sell for a massive amount, so yours is super reasonable. Soooo cute, X3 Think you'll have any for the AZ or Nekocon artist tables?

That is great to know my price point is reasonable, I was really worried but can't afford to churn them out for any less :/ And I will most definitely have some to send to you for artist tables when the time comes! :D

Thanks! They probably will get easier once I have a good system and templates going for them. I thought about making them with different public domain book titles and printed pages, too; I'll definitely try making at least one like that.

Your feather pen and ink bottle idea is excellent, too! That would be a great thing to pull together and sell as a set with the books :D

Yeah, I hate that! I sold this one for $20 ^^ Will probably keep the others I'm making in that price range, I think.
