Sam shook her head and burrowed deeper under the covers. "Sleepy," she murmured. Early pregnancy had made her tired, and now that morning sickness had kicked in, made her reluctant to jump out of bed like she normally would.

"Got you a surprise," Jack said lowly, tugging at a strand of golden hair peeking above the blankets. "Gotta get up to get it, though. Can you do that for me?"

God, did she know how damned cute she was when she did that?

A hand crept out from under the blanket, pushing it back just enough that she could blink at him over the top of it. "Surprise?" She sniffed, smelling something chocolate, and when the scent didn't make her stomach turn over, she cautiously pushed the blankets down a little more.

"Mmmhmm. Homemade, straight from the kitchen and chock full of Jack O'Neill love."

It was sappy, but it wasn't like anyone could actually see or hear him besides Carter who, in fact, happened to like sappy. Jack figured she had to or she would have left him forever ago.
