I've been praying for an entire year and a half that they'd come out with a second season, because there was nothing stated by Showtime that they'd not cancel the show.
Now, my monday nights are full of great excitement.
My favorite moments: -- The discussion in the Indian restaurant with the riffs on Olive Garden. -- Asking the maid what she calles the space between the dick and asshole. -- The philandering husband's hair plugs -- And best of all, the angry blond housewaife. She steals the show. Yours?
I shall recommend some TV shows that you must check out: Battlestar: Galatica (I have season 1 on DVD, so lemme know if you want to borrow); House, MD; Psyche; Venture Brothers (a cartoon, but a very tongue-in-cheek copy of 70s adventure toons, like Johnny Quest). There are what I'm currently watching. I love them muchly.
Also? You NEED to show Good Night, And Good Luck in your classroom. Teach "Harrison Burgeron" one day, 1984 the next, and then follow it up with that movie. Perfect lesson plan.
I just ordered Good Night, And Good Luck from Netfilx. Murrow is the man.
Battlestar G is so intense that it's not even much fun. I watched about half of the first season of the new version nefore I needed a break. My kids watch House, so i do too. Psyche and Venture Bros are news to me. My kid says he watches VB from time to time and will point it out to me.
