Bulma's Choices
1. I hardly play her senshi half anymore. S-sadface. But particularly this was one of my two "I'm down but I'm not out" icons, hence the keywords "Not Yet". I also use it as her sad expression when she's feeling particularly put upon or stressed out. Works great on ninja elder brothers \o\
2. Another multi-use! This one more dependable to her characteristic of analyzing a situation or calling someone on their tactical choices. Or it's just her flatlined "I call BS" face, except she'd only use it that way on, like, five people unless a situation is severe or extremely retarded.
3. Oh come on let's see you guys hang around Usagi to make her study and not crack eventually. :p I mean. Actually that one was Yousuke (1) and Minashiro Soushi's fault. That this icon has rotation. Keywords would be "boys" but really it's not gender-dependent--retard-dependent is another kettle of fish. |D
None of these took any specific magic to make: Cut, clean, save. The hardest effects to deal with were with her manga icons which I still have to go back and clean.
1. This one's based in context. Ranma's a super-literal person so he's often making the very faces you see in the icons. Hilarious enough, the context of this one is him trying to back out of a hysterical situation (Kodachi is the head of hair cropped to the left). As for the keywords, I liek my porn keywords and he'd totally be thinking that. 8p
2. MORE hilarious context (hint: She slugs the holy crap out of him the next panel for sifting through her undies drawer and replacing them with fruit). But this is my "Ranma is being sincere so SOMETHING IS UP" icon. I had two--this one's in the rotation at the moment. This I cleaned only a little because the scan was pretty decent (I think).
3. I wasn't even gonna consider this but then those keywords came to mind, and. Well. It's utterly Akane-centric even though he makes those faces at lots of people. Because, well, keywords. I AGREE WITH THE COMMENT I DON'T USE IT NEARLY ENOUGH.
Minimum cleaning as the scans were pretty decent--I was just too lazy to clean the bubbles out the first (and I thought they added flavor: Ranma's making excuses whut).
- A note is that 1 and 3 are fightin' icons which will hardly get play because Shiki doesn't fight--he kills.
1. This is Shiki's blank/cool killer persona looking to the thrill of the kill. It's my "he's laughing because you're going to die horribly" icon...but then all of his Nanaya icons are like that. The finishing of the keywords/that specific verse is "I got blood on my hands and there's no remorse."
2. Kuno made it! My copies were teh suck and his were ttly better and I love him for it. But anyway Shiki is not Shiki without the occasional dumb look and this would be that look. It's multi-purpose but the basic gist of this one is "who, me?" Unlike the other two (manga covers), this one's based on a hot girl waving at him from the floor of his school. I happen to be listening to Snow Patrol at the time.
3. Manga cover art/section art for...volume 3 I think. When he fights Nero Chaos and literally RIPS THROUGH A JUNGLE'S WORTH OF ANIMALS REAL AND IMAGINED. It is badass and so is he. Queen was the only thing I could think of that felt appropriate as keywords.
Hisui's Choices
1. My standard "something so traumatizing has occurred that seeing him make such a face would be a stain to his honor" icon. Or. Y'know. MAX ANNOYANCE. Or--a number of things really. The source is the duel of the Golden Pair--Ranma has been innakissed by Mikado and Akane, Nabiki, Ryouga, AND Kasumi are teasing him. Ranma u so versatile~
2. YOU'RE OVERREACTING PUT DOWN THE VIOLENT OBJECT no really the keywords are totally literal--he just met up with Ukyou for the first time in ages and she beat the crap outta him with a gym horse for ditching her. BFF T^Td
3. I...think the keywords sum it up best, anyway. I can't remember for the death of me which ep this was w-whoops.
1. It's totally out of context since it's from a cover of the Kohakuriko doujin. To me it gave that feeling of "...I'm going this way now." that he sometimes gets when he's being too topped by girls in a relatively uncomfy place. The keywords are from Jerry Springer and it's totally matches because Akiha never suspects WHEN he's gonna run huu huu huu huu.
2. Manga art! Very pretty manga art. And matches Nanaya's interested/disgusted persona pretty well! And I ♥ Scryed's main theme.
3. I would love to say Akamatsu drew this. Concept art is here! And I felt I needed a "wryyyyyyyyy..." icon. Mostly because there was that thing in March where I ran into a Satsuki player and squee'd and frolic'd and it was great. IT'S A LURE MAYBE THEY'LL APP. Could also be used for cases of mass retardation, Arcueid, and plum sandwiches.
1. Once upon a time Ros and a small slew of others could not keep Ami's face out of their chests. I was amused by this. It holds sentimental value (and yes those are Makoto's boobs she's faceplanted in--one of Black Dog's many Ami/Makoto doujins).
2. That's...Usagi dreaming of either being a superstar or a parfait. Either way it took place during Sailor Business and that's a nono Usagi-chan. In short, "The face she makes for shoujo retardation." Also why the alt keywords are "Momoko and Usagi are twins."
3. Yousuke's fault part 2: His retardation was so grand that I finally caved and let Ami have her ¬_¬ face. Manga scan from SuperS/Dream, cleaned, played with the color template, and gave it a white background. Am fond of using this when talking w/kindred spirits or Atsuko Yuusuke Ranma a few people. :Dd
