I have heard legends about this before, and it was only after I saw it on Emeril that I discovered the truth.



Oh God, it's true. If you are confused, I'll explain in a bit more detail. Better yet, I'll just tell you what I did.

First off, you take two beef hotdogs, I used Bar S Beef Franks. Then you cut along the hotdog, length-wise, creating a canyon in the 'dog. Fill this canyon with delicious cheddar cheese. Here comes the real kicker. Now wrap both dogs with a strip of bacon each (once again, Bar S) and fry 'em up. It wasn't until I put one of these heavenly hotdogs in my hoagie roll that I realized that I could fit them both in one roll and create the wonderful concoction you see above. Seriously, you have no idea how good it was. I mean, really, it was perfect. I put some hot sauce in one of the dogs, but not enough for it to make a difference. I also added some Mexican Seasoning, but I don't think that changed things much either. I'll have to experiment. Delicious, delicious experimentation.
