I haven't cried yet, but I did get the chills, and I'm having a hard time not smiling.

We "Democrats have taken over Congress too! A few states even elected Democratic governors.

Man, I'm excited. I really hope we're not in too deep to see a change.

To be honest it's going to take awhile to undo all the shit the Bush administration did ...that's what it was like when Clinton took over from Bush Sr. ...he had vision, as far as I'm concerned, and I thought he was a good president, but there was grumbling that he didn't seem to be 'doing much' and basically that's the pattern--the Republicans run the country into the ground for umpteen years and then the Democrats finally get elected to fix it.

So President-Elect Obama (!!!) was right in what he said about there being a lot of hard work ahead. But he came out and said it, and pointed it out to people so I imagine people will remember that (that was an awe-inspiring speech) and bear it in mind.

And after having such a dishonest administration, I'm still trying to get my head around the idea of having an honest President.
I bet he'll give us our rights back, too.

But I'm still thrilled about democracy being restored and the Obama daughters and their puppy in the White House instead of those hideous (nasty voice) Bush twinsOh, ( ... )
