Even as a student, and a governess, Susan was used to things like beds, walls, and central heating in the form of fireplaces, not this sort of living like you're one step up from living in the woods. This may be a somewhat presumptive inquiry, but do any of Adstringendum's citizens have flint, or ( Read more... )

I've found some salvage I do not need, I could create a device to create flames fairly easily. Anything more ... advanced is not possible at this stage of my research. I hope to be receiving a large... [searches for the right word] shipment of more adequate goods soon.

I don't really need anything that terribly advanced. Some flint and steel, even, would do the trick quite nicely.

Thank you, though, for the offer.

Creating a small device would truly be no great issue, I could even have it finished by the time you arrive to pick it up. Point, click, fire.

But if you do not want Doom's assistance, then ye shall not have it either. That is your choice.

That would be very useful indeed, thank you. [She's not what she thinks about this guy who offers help than just as quickly threatens to rescind it, but she'll find safety in cool politeness for now]

While I don't think that I could teach you to create your own, you're quite welcome to my fire, Susan-san.

A temporary solution, but a good idea. I believe I'll take you up on that, if you would be so generous, Mr. Aizen.

Are you doing well yourself? Now that you're warm.

Please don't hesitate. Company is always good to have.

I'm doing better, I believe. This is a lot to get used to, but we stand to gain nothing from letting ourselves be dragged down, do we?

Often, yes, and I seem to have a dearth of it, at the moment.

Good. Of course not, that would be counter-productive, and not pleasant besides.

Um...

[He looks around as he's walking, mostly to keep warm himself and to find shelter at the same time with his cane in hand.]

not exactly. I'm still trying to take of my own basic needs. However, I could find a way to manufacture something that could be of use once I am settled in.

Yes, I wouldn't suppose another new arrival such as myself would have knowledge of such things, hence my address to the more settled populace. But once more information is acquired, I would be willing to share such with you.

Wonderful!! I'm Willy Wonka. I do apologize for my oversight on the introduction. Hmhm! It's been a while since I talked to another person. It's a bit silly, I know.

That would be great! I'm a bit of a stickler when it comes to sharing my secrets so that's not going to happen, though sharing common knowledge and other knowledge of benefit would be ideal, I think.

Susan of Sto Helit, a pleasure, I'm sure.

Of course not, secrets of your trade have their place and I would think that this is not it. But as for general knowledge, it would only be proper to share such.

Ah, a very useful piece of information indeed. Yes, coordinates would be wonderful, to get myself out of this damn cold.

Thank you, Mr...?

Thank you very much indeed, Mr. Leon, you have been most helpful.

I take it you have been here some time then, as many of the residents here?

Ara, I am sure someone can help you with no need of repayment, miss. I'll do it myself if not one has come to your aid yet.

I seem to have been given coordinates for a clinic or two. I am given to understand that they will be able to provide me with such assistance as I require. This is correct?

One of them would be mine, then. I am Unohana Retsu. And yes, we do provide assistance to people in need.
