[The source on this text is... interesting. At first glance it seems to be encrypted, as it simply seems to have been posted to the network from an "unknown user". But its not too heavy an encryption. For those with even simple hacking abilities, its easy enough to tell who its from ( Read more... )

Actually there's something I do want to know about. Deaths. Apparently people come back from death here? In the same condition as they were to begin with?

It can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few weeks. And each time comes with a price. A physical function, a piece of memory.

It's my personal belief that people are simply brought back because the Animus don't feel like dealing with the competition. They're not too unlike children.

That would be my thought as well. Has anyone actually seen any of these Animus yet? Or found where they're located?

They seem to show their faces once our twice a month, usually bi-weekly. At the start of every major event they come speaking riddles in order to try and warn us, taunt us... its hard to say for sure.

From what I've managed to see so far, some want to help us. They want us out as much as we want to get out. Others want to keep us here. They want to use us as their play things. Curious children with toys that just can't break.

As for their location, either no one knows, or I'm being kept rather well out of the loop right now. Either one's a possibility, given the last few months here.

There's a tree where they carve the names of people who have gone home. I don't have much more information about it than that. According to my sister, I've been here before but I definitely don't remember the last time I was here. I've also seen a friend murdered and brought back to life, as well as another killed, brought back to life, sent home and then recently returned. If you're willing to share any of the information you receive, I can try to find out more and get back to you.

I'm rather curious about this tree... and how far this record goes back. Knowing who has been here and from what point in their time stream they were taken would be rather beneficial.

I'm compiling a list of observations now. I can send the finished file after gathering more information here, if you'll still be curious.

The tree is at [X,Y]. You'll want to ask some of the older residents about how long it's been in use.

I will absolutely still be curious to see your findings. Let me know if I can help in any way.

[Child's play to hack, really. The Master's face is unreadable. No, he hasn't gotten over that little death thing, nor is he amused that you've just ran away from it, Doctor.]

Still hiding out, Doctor?

[He has thighs of steel by now, Master dear~]

There's nothing wrong with simply observing.

Picking and choosing when to step in is hardly becoming of you, especially when you leave such an impact.

[Hacking it, psh. It's finding him that is the challenge. And hacking coordinates of a Time Lord that doesn't want to be found is no party. But what River wants, River gets, and while she gives him his space often enough, she can't quite rationalize it away this time.

So, two hours later, River is leaning against a tree, where he is, the hood of her coat drawn up, a tentative smile in place as she waits.

She'll be there for as long as she has to be.

The girl who waited 2.0.]
