my 17th birthday was a week ago today, when i went to new york and played "i'm eighteen" at my mom's show. she had an amazing band: THE BASSIST WAS IN ROXY MUSIC. there was a reunion of almost the entire Recess Gang; clem, kaitlin, maxine and shayna were all in attendance. that was a fucking fun time.

she's a singer-songwriter type. she usually just plays by herself, but she's got a band on this tour, and that night was the record release show for her new album.
