I lifted weights this morning, a light set, and then ran 3.2 miles on the treadmill, the distance of a 5k. Don't just tell yourself this. You actually have to believe it. I actually would recommend skipping the scale altogether because all it's going to do is frustrate you.
You probably won't lose weight for a while because what you're doing right now is burning fat while building muscle, and muscle weighs more. Just focus on how you feel, and how much better your clothes fit - because even though you haven't lost any weight, you have definitely changed shape. I can totally tell--you look great!
Also, about the diet, are you trying extra hard to get a lot of protein? It's pretty difficult if you're eating vegan, and protein is one of the most important things when you are exercising as much as you are. It is THE thing that makes lean muscle....

John and I don't really want to actually go vegan, so I'm still eating some dairy and still eating fish and eggs. (I don't think I could live in a world without Tuna Noodle Casserole.)
I have decided that by next summer, I want to run a half marathon. I have a long way to go, but I'm finding out that I love running, so I'm looking forward to the journey.
How are your runs going?

Focus on how you feel if you feel discouraged. I know you feel better and more energetic, I can see it in you.
Also, if you're following points still, vary it up. Try the "Wendie Plan" - http://www.stormpc.com/ww/wendie_plan.htm
It's just a way to change up your points daily, but end up with the same weekly total.
