So Lenovo has gone up in my view of things. My laptop that I ordered 2 days ago has shipped (their SLA is 9 days from order to shipment on custom orders). I will find out tomorrow when it will be here, but I should have it by this time next week at the latest (since I live in an easily reachable location in the greater Seattle area *smirk*).

well I don't use Adobe Reader to read pdf anymore, so that my have something to do with it. I guess it is "they gave it to me in electronic form" more than "in pdf" that made me happy, I think.

My ESQ-1 also goes *note**note**note**thock*. It's good over MIDI, though - gotta be in the synth guts. It's probably some IC that hasn't been manufactured since the 80s. :\ We'll have to go in on a broken parts ESQ... :)

Yeah, a parts board might be a good idea. SQ-80s are easier to find based on my previous looking and they are virtually identical save the sequencers and the card reader (there was some expandability with it that was specific to later models).

I haven't tried it in MIDI only mode on those notes yet. I will see if I can get to that tonight and verify. My Bartok books came in yesterday, so I have stuff to play ^_^
