I've decided to coin a phrase, help me use it in professional and personal arenas :)

Security by Ferrets - Protecting data by locating it on the other side of schema habit trails through undisclosed compartments.

Examples: Any backup system, Sharepoint.

Security through Obscurity implies that you can get a direct link to the data somehow. Security by Ferrets implies the inability to directly touch the data from one side to the other even after figuring out where it is for that instance. Security by Obscurity is like having a box with 60 holes in it that you have to try every one until you find the data, but after that success, you can get to it the next time. Ferrets like to move things regularly, because they are ADHD ninjas with sharp teeth so you may need to eventually give up and ask the ferret for it or you won't be able to get it on your own.
