I agree with your take on the album. You liked the same songs as me!
Even so....I really don't want to say this but I was kind of disappointed with it to be completely honest..
Glad to hear that he's working on original material though! Can't wait for that to come out.

Hell yes, I hope he does! :D

Oh, and about that Ohashi Trio thing. I bought a copy of his album and NOW I know the truth) The guy named Ohashi Yoshinori is the one in all the pictures. He's also writing all the songs. However, there are two more people taking part in the recording, so, technically, that's a trio :) Well, anyway. His collaboration with Hotei started with lovely track Jasmine from his album NEWOLD.

LOL - that explains the Trio part ;) I imagine that it's just Ohashi playing all the instruments since according to his wikipedia entry, he is a multi-instrumentalist :D I'll check out "Newold" soon. I have "Fakebook" and "Fakebook 2" and think he's pretty chill - good for long drives.

Oh, and re what I said that he was in the studio working on new material, that was based on the "Passion Continent clip, where he is shown recording a new song. It turns out he's working on a song commissioned by a Japanese brand :) Oh well, at least it's new material, and whatever it is, I am sure it will sound great too!
