so, on monday, i went with chloe to her mom's school to help clean the classrooms and at the same time collect some volunteer hours. it was fun. and while there i learned a lot about kindergardeners today ( Read more... )

yeah yeah yeah...god, i hear this from my mall the time. it really is bad. it's all about how the states are making standards that schools have to follow (our dumb standards in english class that they pretend to follow? sound familiar, like goodwin put it on the board but it had nothing to do with anything really)

the people in charge of making these "standards" don't know what they're doing. also, local school boards aren't allowed to actually have teachers on them. so all the rules and restrictions on education are made by people who didn't go through college to learn about it. by people who have backwards ideas about what kids need. it's a problem.

Wow, kids get no breaks anymore. Its kinda like something my dad asked me the other day. He asked me when do I get a break, since I was always busy, I said "when I'm dead." Which is even more true for those poor kindergardeners. These kids will have to fight in a world were you have to be a near genius in order to make a living. The future will be sad for the next generation. And all your friends miss you too.
