I just wrote a fairly long entry on the state of my severly declining health and how i don't think I'll get away with it this time, then decided 'nah'. It was meant to be witty and sardonic but came off as self-indulgent (even for this site) and victim-esque, and that's not interesting to anyone ( Read more... )

Hope you're having a good time out there, and had a lovely Christmas/New Year et al. It's very odd back here, without everyone who's elsewhere..

I have to agree with you: as an atheist of long standing, I find it deply offensive when people tell me that I'm just an atheist because I 'don't want' to believe in God. Or they don't seem to think that being an atheist is a faith choice as much as beliving itself. Makes me cross.

A friend of mine recently claimed, with a straight face, that his religion was 'sex and death'. I'll go with that till my fickle nature dictates otherwise.

In my drunken rant I seemed to have spelt 'Manhattan' wrong. The shame of it all.

But yes, hope you're doing well. Are you around in the 4th year?

To my own shame, I spelt 'deeply' and 'believing' wrong. I think it was just tiredness too, so there's NO excuse. *SHAME*

I will be in Narch, if not in the Unimuniversity itself. I think I need a job for a year, before postgrad love (if I don't fail degree #1!) What about you, what happens after Year 4?

'Sex and death' seems the way to go. Covers all the bases. Even leaves room to be an assassin-cum-rentboy/callgirl, so that makes a lot of sense, really... got to keep your options open.

...and ANYWAY, religion really only deals with sex and death. It's do it or don't (plus regulations) and "you're going somewhere bad or you're going somewhere good". All the bases.
