I'm still find the sudden development awkward, but...
Lots of people won't get Sakura credit, nor Tsunade, because they're not like everyone else. This is still despite showing they're relentless strength, apparently it is nothing. Or it is just too linear? I also don't appreciate fandoms looking down on the role of medics/doctors.
What Sakura is trying to say that, NOT that she is a powerful as uber Sasuke and Naruto Main character and genius clan syndrome, but that she has significance in the team.
IMO Sakura deserves a hell of a lot of praise just for the fact that she's at a major disadvantage compared to Naruto and Sasuke - their Kyuubi / Sharingan gives them a leg up. Sakura has had to work for her abilities. She wasn't born with them. She earned them through three years of hard work.
Oh for sure, I didn't see the Sakura power-up coming and I feel Kishi still hasn't found the right way to write her character...but it was still nice to see :)
More of these people should play RPGs without a medic on their team - lets see how they like that.
I get why people are complaining, but honestly? Sakura being the new Tsunade has been mentioned a lot, it's not like she got some random-arse jutsu that is completely implausible for her. I wish there'd been a bit more build-up to this, but I'm so happy to see her back in action. And you know you've done something cool when even Sasuke is impressed.
Basically, it's Sakura. She can't do anything right. People moan about how she does nothing except heal and is boring and useless, and when she finally does get to do cool stuff, apparently she's stealing screentime from Hinata, her new jutsu is an arse pull, she's ripping off Tsunade, it's too late, blah blah fucking blah. I think some Naruto fans won't be happy unless Kishimoto kills her.

That's pretty much it. Her being "useless" in part one ruined her for all of these people (Plus the fact she's female), and then the fake love confession only gave them a somewhat more credible reason.
Agreed, the build-up wasn't condensed as it could've been, which sucks since all the women received quite a few lovely scenes in more than one chapter. Too bad it didn't happen for her - it's as if Kishi wanted to move things along with the Team 7 angle.
I bet you if people were in her place, they wouldn't think of themselves as useless at all :p
Her power up *was* kind of out of nowhere, but a. Naruto jumped pretty fast in his power ups in Shippuden (To keep up with Sasuke) and b. Who cares? Sakura gets to be awesome and relevant.
Oh yea, so did I as soon I read the first few pages. As I somewhat mentioned in another comment, if these people who bashed Sakura were in her place (hating the more immature and inexperienced selves then being able to fight alongside her teammates without being a damsel in distress), then I'm sure they would be praising themselves for being so strong and surpassing their own expectations.
People lack empathy, even for fictional characters.
I hadn't read Naruto ever since the 'Sakura's fake love confession/Karin gets nearly killed/Sakura fails to kill Sasuke' chapter because I gave up at the 'I'm never going to catch up to them' spiel she had, and that was frustrating as hell. But this chapter? Being told that Sakura finally gets to do stuff? I actually read it. And it was amazing. <3 So thank you for posting this, because I never would've known about Sakura being badass otherwise.

If she doesn't fight = useless.
If she fights but isn't ridiculously powerful = useless.
If she fights and is ridiculously powerful = Mary Sue.
There's just no way to win.
ETA: Psst, do you mean chapter 632?
