My favourite bashed character... let's see, Pinoko has saved the main character, Black Jack, from dying a few times and gotten him out of jail! She's pretty awesome.
Maglir, and Mankar Camoran for that matter, were hit particularly hard by Oblivion's 'Player POV' approach to characterization; there's a lot more to both of them than is immediately obvious, but the game does not take any great pains to point that out. You pretty much have to read the in-game books and pay attention to the (many) discrepencies between what they're saying and what's actually happening to pick up on some of the nuances (Mags, for instance, acting so afraid of fishing a journal away from a few mudcrabs, but visibly excited at the prospect of charging into a cave full of bandits. Oh, and at one point, he's sleeping a room down from Kurdan gro-Dragol. Y'know, 'cause he's really afraid of hurting himself
( ... )
Aww, that's a bit unfortunate! Some canons depend a little too much on supplementary sources to get all of the non-major or main character information.
Taking down the head of the Murond Glabados Church by backhanding 'em upside the head with an unabridged dictionary... *Yeah, you read that correctly...*
I can't think of much "cool" Ghinius does, but I really like his scene early in the series with Aina before their relationship turned to shit. They were really sweet <3
