Sakura Kinomoto, hated in Japan?!

I notice the hatred towards her is quite few, but I just feel kind of sad to see the some of the people who hate her with a passion. Comments that broke my heart the most about her are: "she is annoying and should just die in the anime," "Li/Syaoran-kun should just hook up with Meilin or Eriol or Tomoyo," "she is worst anime protagonist to be ever

Wow, I had no idea that Sakura is so hated in certain circles. That is sad. You made a very lovely defense of her. As you say, she isn't perfect; she's a very human character. And she's a really nice person. If she were real, I'd love to have her as a friend.

And that is frustrating when some people won't even say why they hate her. I've had that sort of thing happen regarding other characters. Or they'll give me some kind of reason, but it's a ridiculous one.

Yes, that seems very strange about the poll. With Usagi, it's a little more understandable that some people wouldn't like her, but that's still sad too. I've always loved her as well.

Candy Candy I'm not familiar with. Is that another magical girls show?

That's good that Sakura and Syaoran have made it onto a positive poll! They are a very sweet couple.

The poll said that Usagi was rated as the #32 most annoying/unlikeable anime female. I find the poll itself to be kind of ridiculous.

And some people like overlook the fact that Sakura is always grateful to anyone, I would like to give you few examples:

1. In the episode 2, Sakura gave Tomoyo a gift as her sign of gratitude after Tomoyo helped her to capture the shadow card.

2. In the episode 9, Sakura gave Rika her brooch that she bought from the store as a sign that she felt sorry for Rika and she also gave Yukito a gift as her sign of gratitude after he saved Rika from collapsing.

3. In the episode 17, Sakura gave Syaoran the erase card as her sign of gratitude after Syaoran helped her to capture the erase card even though Syaoran refused to receive the card.

4. In the episode 41, Sakura gave Syaoran the sand card as her sign of gratitude after she and Syaoran worked together to capture the sand card.
