I am kind of bummed right now.  I just found out that I am unemployed this summer until I can find a new job.  TN can’t hire me back on since they have guys laid off and it would not look good hiring a college kid when they can’t even feed their kids.  Do I understand? Sure I do but; does not mean it sucks for me and also puts me in a hard place.

The condition is BRAND NEW, and you don't need any software. Plug it in with the cable that is included and it shows up as a drive. Just drag and drop if please. I use a program called musicmonkey to list to music and he can upload music to my ipod as well as this type of mp3 play with a click of a botton. So depends on what software you use.

would it work with windows media player, or yahoo music engine. or both?

I can't say since I don't know how either of those programs work. If the windows media player allows you to sync with a device then i might. I am only guessing here since I don't use either of those programs.
