i saw "Eight Below." Sad. Movies with dogs always get you. The writing was shit, but the dogs were great :)

I went to see that too. The dogs were truly beautiful and utterly mesmerizing. I wanted to hug them all. The rest of the movie was ridiculously contrived bullshit.

I have to offer propaganda here for an Italian classic film about an old man and his dog, Vittorio De Sica's 1952 Umberto D.
It is a deeply moving masterpiece. The CLAN libraries own video/DVD copies.
