Jack was lagging behind on his way to the airport. He did not, did not, want to meet Chris's parents! But he was being dragged along incase she needed the bathroom again so he gritted his teeth and pretended he was fighting all the Baal's created with a toothbrush.

In contrast to her partner's definite downer mood, Christine was more on the bouncy side of things. It had been far too long since she'd seen her parents.

He groaned and hurried up a little so he was walking beside her. "Why do I have to be here again?"

"Because you got me knocked up and then invited them to the shotgun wedding," she informed him, cheerfully.

"Right." He sighed again. "Can we call it a zat gun wedding considering my old job?"
