She loved going to Raps games in LA, especially tonight. Because tonight the Raps were solidly beating the Lakers. They were always close enough to think they had a chance but the never got too close. AJ was never worried. For every mistake they made they recouped ten fold. At the end of the third quarter the woman sitting next to her- some B-list celebrity she was sure she was supposed to know got up, along with her B-list celebrity boyfriend, glared at AJ as she walked in front of her, and left. AJ took it as a victory. Luke was playing like he was ten years younger, like his knees weren't as badly damaged as everyone knew they were. Every so often during time outs he would grimace and AJ knew he was in a lot of pain. But he played through, putting in more minutes than he should have but the bench was short tonight, two players catching a stomach bug that kept them out.

But they still won. Luke had a glow that was more than the sheen of perspiration. No one had expected them to win. Not here, not now. He was proud. AJ made a point of cheering as loudly as she could after the buzzer went off, everyone else slinking out and grumbling. She lingered long enough to signal to her husband that she would be waiting for him. He had a smile that she recognized. It was joy and love and desire and need. And she was so desperately glad to see it. Only a month had passed since she'd seen him. They had gone longer in the past and he would have to leave in the morning but she was anxious about the new album. The new songs were getting good responses but it had been a while since they'd released a whole new album with all original material. Sure there had been the cover album but this was her heart and soul. She needed some support from someone who wasn't as emotionally invested as Carlos, Tim, and Andy. She needed Luke. It was always Luke.

With her pass AJ stood around, waiting, chewing on her lip. When he came out of the locker room showered and in his street clothes he had that same look in his eye. He grabbed her and kissed her and it was like lightning. She tensed and her arms clung to him, pulling him closer. The kiss intensified and for a moment she forgot where they were. When Luke pulled away he was grinning. "I booked a suite at the Ritz.

AJ snorted and raise an eyebrow. "Babe. I live in this city"

He squeezed her hands. "And traffic is terrible."

"It's LA. Of course it is. But it's like half an hour."

Luke pulled her close and wrapped her arms around him. "Yeah. But the hotel is right there. And I got a suite that has got to be half the size of your house."

Feeling him close made what little resolve she had fade. "Only if it has a tub. You're going to need to soak."

Luke smirked as he realized she was relenting. "It's the Ritz suite. It damn well better have a tub."

"Alright. So what gave you this brilliant idea, hmm Mr. Gadling?"

With a smirk he squeezed her ass. "Babe. We just beat the Lakers when we weren't supposed to. They never got close and my wife is a sexy fucking goddess. I am taking her to the swankiest hotel and having sex with her everywhere in it because right now I do NOT feel like an old man."

For a moment AJ furrowed her brow, remembering the look of pain on his face during the game. "Babe, are you sure? You looked like your knees..."

"Woman." Luke gave an exasperated sigh. "Are you saying no?"

She paused for a moment, probably a moment longer than he expected and when he was getting visibly frustrated she smiled. "I'm not saying no."

"Alright then." He gave her a quick kiss and grabbed her hand. "Lets go make the housekeeping people at the Ritz really angry."
