Rather glad you didn't! We did actually wake up at midnight because of all the fireworks, and wished each other a sleepy happy new year. I thought how nice it was to be cuddled up in bed with my baby and husband rather than tramping on Port Meadow dodging horizontal fireworks! Not that there won't be more of that in the future, I'm sure.
