Good point, had forgotten them. (Site is slow, and I don't think Oxford people use it much as Daily Info is much better - but worth a go, anyway.)

Local press doesn't mean a thing - only thing that counts is being on Rightmove - never even occurred to me to look at a physical paper when we were looking in Oxford - are they on Rightmove?

Yep; all the locals are. I agree Rightmove is first port of call (but not everyone is as webby as us.)

I guess that anyone who is looking to make a purchase of a house of that broad value is either going to be online at home (70% + of the population) or have online access at work. Would have thought that anyone who reads the Oxford Uni publications is def. online - gap would be people who are retired, but I am not sure that there is an obvious publication that reads them
