Here are some pictures from my vacation, along with descriptions. Hope you enjoy them...
San Diego
Just the skyline of San Diego from Coronado (a little town nearby).
My favorite thing about the city itself was the Mitsuwa Marketplace...there's nothing like all the Re-Ment trading figures you could ever desire! And Kasugai gummies. :3
One of the days we were in San Diego, Grandma and I went to the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park (or whatever it was called). Anyway, on the safari, we spotted this rather naughty rock, so I couldn't resist taking a picture.I guess even rocks get pissed off, sometimes. *bad joke*
Seals! Apparently, people used to be able to get close to the seals, but because of people taunting them and such (stupid people), you now have to view them from a distance. Oh well. It's probably better for them. You can see them in La Jolla, outside of San Diego.
San Francisco
Camellias are my favorite flowers. And I was lucky enough to find some in Golden Gate Park in June. <3
They usually bloom in April in the Mid-Atlantic, probably because of the different climate.
Most bizarre street name ever.
Sea lions at Fisherman's Wharf. You can kind of see the Golden Gate bridge in the background. At least, I think that's the Golden Gate bridge. ^^;
Taken while I was walking up
Lombard Street.
Butterfly. Taken at a flower conservatory in Golden Gate Park.
I think San Francisco was my favorite part of the trip. It was beautiful there; unlike where I live, lots of flowers are in bloom in June. They also have a Japantown where I was able to get some hard-to-find kimono accessories at low prices. I also saw a record store where they had some anime artbooks, including some for Lost Universe and Infinite Ryvius--but I already had them. ^^;
I wish I'd spent more time in the Kinokuniya in SF. I only got to spend 30 min. in there. I only looked in the crafts section because I was so pressed for time. I got a cute (but kind of old) book about warabe ningyou, though I kind of wish I'd bought this other book instead. There's always eBay or Sasuga Books, though.
Meh, I'm tired. G' night, everybody. ^0^
