I was about to say, plenty of women are liberal enough that it doesn't matter if Sarah Palin is a man, woman or sapient oak tree, they still wouldn't vote for her. The real test would be moderate to conservative women -- women who would agree with Gov. Palin on the issues. (Similarly, while conservative voters might well be racist, the more measurable people are the moderate-to-liberal ones where you can compare racist attitudes to voting preference in 2008. And, I think someone did it with respect to Obama.) If you wanted to detect sexism in liberals, Sen. Clinton would be a better target. (I will say that the sexist attacks against Gov. Palin (and I have seen some) are differently-phrased than those against Sen. Clinton.)

Plus, accusing one's opponents of disliking something because of high school politics is the best way to alienate people ever.

It is weird, but I do think she is really pretty, but that will not make me vote for her, because I don't agree with her stances on certain issues.
