Just defending my friend, but had you not come here (and the other person involved) no one who wasn't apart of the drama would have known who she was talking about, so it's not the same thing. It's one thing to say "LJ user so and so did this this and said this" and another to say that drama went down on LJ. If not for the comments to this entry from those involved none of us outside of the drama would have known who said or did what...
It doesn't really matter to me if anyone knows that it was me and someone else. I know that we shouldn't have done the whole convo of C&P, but I appreciated a friend letting me know that someone was talking about me on her lj. Espescially when I know I"m only mentioned on her lj in a bad way since we parted ways way back when she was dissing my sister on lj.
You know, for what it's worth had you not gone to her anon post and asked her why she was "stalking" you this whole thing wouldn't have started, You could have left well enough alone, seeing as looking at your profile which is public is not stalking, it's not like she can see your entries which are private.
And I'm not saying they aren't the same thing, because I am very much aware that they are, however seeing as she has the right to say whatever she pleases in her livejournal, just like you have the right to talk about whomever you please in your livejournal. It is the fact that her privacy was about to be invaded that didn't sit well with me. So I did what I felt I needed to do. Like I said I would have done it for anyone.
I'm not justifying what I did by saying it's different from what she offered to do for you, I am justifying by letting a friend know that someone on her livejournal was about to betray her confidence, and that's that.
Thank you! You know I think my LJ exploded. It's a funny thing the internet, you really don't know who you can trust and it's a bit sad, considering we're all pretty much grown ups. My act may be invading privacy too but I feel like I did the right thing and that is what matters.
As far as the gif I really am not sure, I've never seen Being Human although I intend to,just haven't gotten around to it, I just think Russell Tovey is adorable and I felt the gif was appropriate.
OHH man! This reminds of when Tony's GF at the time was pretending to be someone and was posting on my LJ. And when Jen had her friend make a LJ up and started posting mean shit to me. I know you remember that!!! That's when my LJ's became private. Took me back!!
I try to avoid the LJ drama wars too hun, so I understand how hard it must have been for you to make that decision. I agree with you fully though, if someone is threatening to copy and paste from my journal I sure hope someone else would stand up and let me know.
A journal (in any form) is a private thing and someone is def not your friend if they are willing to give someone else all the details... :(
I have a love/hate relationship with LJ. It can be great and you can connect with some really wonderful people. But then it can be not so great and you witness some shit that I would much rather not.
