So, I've made some more icons! Every chance I can I've been looking around for tutorials, with coloring. I haven't ventured into anything else except for the spare texture or two, some of them I really like the effect of, some of them I think are kind of blah but I left them how they are so I can learn from my mistakes and such ( Read more... )

Well I like them. You're coming along well.

Have you posted any of these or the previous batch to the comms? You should. You would get a wider variety of criticism that you crave.

Thanks! The tutorials get easier now that I understand what some of the terms are. I really like making them.

Do you mean to the fandom communities? I suppose I could post these to the glee communities, I'm kinda chicken about it lo.

Don't be chicken, just do it. You never know what will get like and not liked unless you post them. You have to learn what people like. I am learning as well.

Peeps love my Doctor Who but not the other fandoms so much. Weird. I am now doing a whole bunch of mixed fandom-y stuff.

Not too bad for just starting out. Some are better than others. I really like the last one of Finn. I think I will take it.

I think they are great :) I can see a def improvement from the first batch to the second in terms of lighting/coloring too :)

Thanks! There a few tutorials I found that I really liked the effect of and I just played with the colors on each.

I'm going to do Doctor Who icons today although I need to find a tutorial for orange caps because the inside of the TARDIS is pretty orange.
