You can buy wall chargers for iPods. They're great. And there are car chargers too, which have proven to be quite useful.

I know, but my point is the Zen can charge off mains out of the box, whereas the iPod can't. :P

The Zen line seems to have taken a liking to crapping out on people. When I told some school friends why I'd switched to an iPod (the same reason you said, only about a month after I'd bought it. wtf), I seriously heard a chorus of "Mine too!"

PS: Did you turn the backlight off on your iPod? That saves a lot of the battery, though you can't really read anything on the screen in poor lighting.

which model did you get? nano or straight up iPod?

i want to get a 30G iPod, and i've talked to the guys in the stores, but not really to anyone who has one...
easy to use, good size, decent battery life... sounds good to me!

should i get one, my Master? is the Force with it?

im about to write my xmas list and that is the number one thing on it. bc they're expensive i don't need one that has video/picture capability, just the music player....im not sure which one to ask for as im totally and idiot when it comes to these things.
